This project required us to create a sustainable package as a solution/response towards the ban on single use plastics in South Africa. Considerations towards materials, durability and practicality within the package should be considered, also the packaging needs to be appropriate. The package had to be designed without the use of graphics however, the brands identity had been explored and simplified.

I decided to go with Jawbreaker as the the brands target audience is catered mainly towards children whereas the product and brand experience is that of a fun and playful interaction which I wanted to bring forward into the new sustainable package
design solution.

From these initial sketches, the crazy ideas section lead towards the direction to where the packaging was headed. The jaw idea was taken forward.

The graphics were firstly hand drawn and than explored, edited and simplified
